Men's Spirituality

Yoga for Men: How it is Relevant and Compelling

Yoga was originally performed only by men as a practice meant for ascetics. The overwhelming majority of Western practitioners are now women. How is this powerful tradition relevant to our 21st century lives as we look for new physical, emotional, and spiritual resources? We will get hands-on experience of some simple yoga practices and explore how yoga can support us in all our endeavors.

PRESENTER: Paul Busch has practiced yoga since 1990 and taught since 1996, having trained and studied primarily in the Iyengar style of hatha yoga. Prior to that he studied with a meditation teacher for seven years and practiced karate for five years. Paul strives to make yoga accessible and enjoyable and truly believes that everyone is capable of benefiting from it.

WHEN: Wednesday, November 4, 5:30-8 pm, includes dinner

WHERE: Carondelet Center, 1890 Randolph Ave., St. Paul

COST: $35

These Men’s Spirituality programs are coordinated by Ed Sellner, PhD, professor of pastoral theology & spirituality
at the St. Catherine University.

* Please note that the Men’s Series provides a sacred space for men to explore their spirituality together and we ask that only men register for this series.
